Using records to earn more
Turn your milk records into better decisions: cost per litre, which cow pays, and what to change.

Work out your cost per litre
Add up everything you spent in the month: feed, dairy meal, vet, AI and labour. Divide by the litres you sold. That is what each litre costs you. The difference from your co-op price is what you keep.
Find the cow that pays
Compare litres per cow per day. A cow that eats the same as the others but gives much less milk may be sick, late in lactation, or not worth her feed. Look before you decide.
Check what you were paid
At the end of the month, compare expected pay in Maziwa with your co-op slip. A few litres missing each delivery adds up over a year.
Share your records when it helps
Export a month to Excel or print it. SACCOs and lenders often want to see steady milk records before lending for a cow or a chaff cutter.
